Jennifer G. Mayer, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Jennifer G. Mayer purchased South Shore Hearing Center in January 2016. She was born and raised in Swampscott, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing in 1996 from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and her Master’s degree in audiology from the Northeastern University in 1998. Dr. Mayer fulfilled her Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in 1999 at Hear USA and Cape Cod Ear, Nose and Throat.
Following her CFY, Dr. Mayer was a staff audiologist in various clinical settings, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She joined the South Shore Hearing Center staff in 2006. Dr. Mayer obtained her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2008.
Dr. Mayer’s specialties are diagnostic audiology, pediatric and adult amplification and educational audiology.
Dr. Mayer is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Audiology and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Jaime L. Hannon, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Jaime L. Hannon was raised in Greenwich, CT. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from the University of New Hampshire in 2001. She then earned her Master’s degree in Audiology from Northeastern University in 2003. Dr. Hannon fulfilled her Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) at the Boston VA Hospital and was then hired there full-time. Dr. Hannon completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Pennsylvania School of Optometry and Audiology in 2007.
Prior to joining South Shore Hearing Care Center, Dr. Hannon worked for 14 years at the Boston VA Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Hannon’s specialties are diagnostic audiology, amplification, and assessment of balance disorders in adults.
Dr. Hannon is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Audiology and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Kaitlyn Foley, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Kaitlyn Foley is a Massachusetts native . She is a recent graduate of Northeastern University’s Doctorate of Audiology program. She began working full time after completing a year-long residency at South Shore Hearing Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in speech and hearing with a minor in education and psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014.
Ms. Foley’s interests include diagnostic audiology, pediatric and adult amplification, educational audiology, and cochlear implants.
Tannya E. Poulter, Au.D., CCC-A
Tannya has always had the desire to work in the healthcare field. While attending the University of Connecticut, she decided to major in Speech Pathology. It was during this time that Tannya took a few classes in audiology as part of the Speech Pathology program and became extremely interested and drawn to the profession. It combines the scientific understanding of sound and hearing with the personal experience of helping improve patients’ lives through better hearing and communication. She strives to be as thorough and effective as possible in the assessment of hearing loss, helping patients to understand the details of their hearing loss, determining the most appropriate avenue for remediation of hearing loss and assisting patients to be comfortable and proficient in the use of their hearing aids. She thoroughly enjoys establishing relationships with each one of her patients and hopes their experience is as comfortable as possible when assessing their hearing or working towards improved hearing. With the constant upgrades and improvements in hearing aid technology, the profession of audiology is always changing, thus improving the lives of those with hearing loss. While Tannya enjoys testing all age groups, her specialty is in the adult and geriatric populations.
Abigail S. Keller, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Abigail S. Keller was raised in Burlington, VT. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing with a minor in psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2002, and completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in May 2007. Dr. Keller fulfilled her doctoral externship at South Shore Hearing Center in 2006-2007.
Dr. Keller’s specialties are diagnostic audiology, amplification, and assessment of balance disorders in adults.
Dr. Keller is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Audiology and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
